Trailing in the fourth quarter for the second time in three weeks, Alta overcame a late game deficit to pull out a win, this time against the Davis Darts 21-20 to advance to the 5A semi-finals.

The stingy Dart defense forced six turnovers against the Hawks, but steady QB Ammon Olsen overcame a tough first half to lead the Hawks to two touchdown drives, capping off the win on a nine-play drive finding TE Drake Eckholdt from four yards out to secure the win.

Davis showed once again they had the best defense in the state throughout most of the game and went into halftime with a 20-7 lead, but couldn’t capitalize in the second half.
